Harnaman Kaur, Kratika Gupta, Niveditha N and Madhumita Vadlamannati from IEEE IIT Mandi were declared the winning team in Electrothon, a Hackathon by SPEC, NIT Hamirpur, under the organisational problem statement category by Suitable AI for developing a web application based on data sourcing and analytics.
Power and Electronics Society (PES) Chapter, IEEE IIT Mandi secured 2nd position in IEEE Region R10 (Asia and Pacific) for achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals by doing several humanitarian activites and technical activites for the benefits of the local community.
The purpose of the IAS Chapter Web Contest is to designed IAS chapter websites. The websites are evaluated based on design, layout, functionality and overall impression.
To be considered as a recipient of the IAS Student Thesis Contes thesis must have successfull y been defended within two calendar years prior to the submission and be relevant to the scope of the IA-Society. The candidate

research interest are; power electronic converters, electrical drives, smart grid, microgrid, electric vehicles, energy storage system, renewable energy, and power quality.

Mr. Gautam received his B. Tech. degree in electrical engineering f University, India, in 2014 a nd M. Tech. degree in electrical engineering with specialization in po electronics and drives from Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India, in 2019. Currently, he is working with R&D wing of Electronics a n d Electrical Engineering department of Indian Institute Technology Guwahati. His research interest includes power quality, Grid connected operation, drive and its control, MMC and its applications. He is also a student member of IEEE, IAS.
