Mr. Rajesh M. Pindoriya was honoured with Outstanding Student Volunteer Award 2021 for his diligent and remarkable efforts on behalf of the IEEE Student Branch at IIT Mandi.
For their project "Autotuned Ventilator: A Contactless Treatment Machine, particularly for COVID-19 patients," Rishi Kant Thakur, Dr. Rajesh Pindoriya, and Dr. Rajeev Kumar bagged second position.
Under the guidance of Sachin Chauhan, the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IITM) Joint IAS and PES Student Branch Chapter achieved the Outstanding Joint IAS Chapter award.
The project proposal captioned "Design & Development of Auto-tuned Ventilator: A contactless treatment specifically for COVID-19 patients" by Rishi Kant Thakur, Dr. Rajeev Kumar (Project Mentor), and Dr. Rajesh Pindoriya was acknowledged and honoured with 5000 USD in the 2021 IEEE HAC/SIGHT Projects- Centered on COVID-19 Response Call for Proposals.
The M.S. thesis proposal of Mr Rishi Kant Thakur's (S19004), under the guidance of Dr. Rajeev Kumar, and another team member, Dr. Rajesh Pindoriya, bagged two more IEEE awards. One from "IEEE Region 10 & IEEE HAC" captioned "Neoteric Ventilation (NEO) and a second from "IEEE Region 10 SAC" captioned "Auto-tuned Ventilator and honoured with a prize money of $500 USD.
Under the Non-Phd category Mr. Ajeet Kumar Yadav bagged 3 rd Position for best Thesis award captioned “Design and Implementation of High Performance Sensorless PMSM Drive”,with the guidance of Prof. Bharat Singh Rajpurohit and under Ph.D. Category Mr. Adil Usman bagged 3 rd position for thesis captioned, “Fault Diagnosis in Brushless Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive”, under the supervision of Prof. Bharat Singh Rajpurohit.
Harnaman Kaur, Kratika Gupta, Niveditha N and Madhumita Vadlamannati from IEEE IIT Mandi won the hackathon organised by NIT Hamirpur, under the organisational problem statement category by Suitable AI for developing a web application based on data sourcing and analytics.
To increase awareness among the young student community, a workshop on renewable energy resources was organized at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Mandi, India. This was a two-week workshop in which students learned and created a scaled-down prototype of the many project ideas that they proposed based on the theme renewable energy.
Mr. Rajesh M. Pindoriya organised a series of outreach activities (such as a One Day Workshop for School Kids: Do It Yourself Solar Study Lamp and others). IEEE Student Branch IIT Mandi received "The Darrel Chong Student Activity Award" for outreach initiatives.
Volunteers of IEEE SB IIT Mandi designed fist time Website on 2019 and participated in The Best Website Contest 2019 and 2020. We got 2nd Position across the Globe and awards given by IEEE IAS CMD, USA.
IEEE IAS SB Chapter IIT Mandi won the Continued outstanding performance student branch chapter award for 2019 for serving their members and technical community and establishing good will for the Industry Applications Society.
IEEE SB Chapter IIT Mandi receieved the Dr. J. K. Pal Award in 2019 to appreciate and recognise young, experienced and talented student members volunteering for the Student Branch.
